Steffen is the UM3D Lab's System Administrator, and manages the majority of software and hardware in our two labs. He also supervises the student lab and is our resident expert on Autodesk's Maya.

Eric is an experienced graphics programmer and 3D artist for the lab who focuses primarily on developments for the newly refurbished CAVE system. He is also an Autodesk Certified Trainer for 3D Studio Max and provides training and support for students, faculty, and staff..

Shawn manages the 3D Lab help desk and works mainly with the lab's three rapid prototyping machines and the handheld laser scanner.

Brett left the 3D Lab in April, 2008 and works for Boeing now. He started the labs rapid prototyping and scanning business.


Scott Hamm

Scott worked at the 3D Lab from November, 2003 to February 2008. His primary responsibilities included creating 3D models and animations and integrating these models into presentations and short films, generating 3D data from physical objects with the lab's handheld laser scanner, and supervising motion capture sessions. He also authored the UM3D Lab website.

Scott currently works for Instructional Support Services at the University of Michigan, and can be reached by email at the same address.
